Podcasting With NetSPI

We recently had the opportunity to collaborate with NetSPI on a fun project—producing two episodes of their podcast, Agent of Influence, hosted by their Field Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Nabil Hannan. This project was especially exciting for us because podcast production isn't something we typically do at Visual Captive. We’re always eager to broaden our skillset, and shooting in a podcast environment presented a unique learning experience.

One of the key challenges was designing a lighting setup that worked within a tight space while ensuring even lighting for two speakers and accommodating three camera angles. It took some creative problem-solving, but we built in extra setup time to test different lighting approaches before filming.

We even had some time to spare before shooting, which allowed us to capture some bonus content for Visual Captive’s YouTube channel. It was a rewarding project that stretched our capabilities and expanded on existing techniques.

This shoot reminded us of the importance of seeking projects that push our skills and expand our approach to different shooting scenarios. As a video production company, growth comes from experimenting, learning, and challenging ourselves to improve with every project we take on.
